The Bay 88.7FM invests $600k in the community

Since 2016, Hunters Bay Radio has invested $600,000 to local not for profit organizations and other causes.  As Muskoka's only locally owned and not for profit radio station, The Bay, raises funds through Super Jackpot Bingo (Monday nights at 7pm) to help support a number of local not for profits.

The Bay Food Crew works with our partners - Bullock's Independent Grocer, Dairy Lane Dental, Capstone Markets, and Dreams Becoming Reality - to support food banks & food pantries year round.  Approx $100,000 in food in donated yearly.

Other organizations we support include Hospice Huntsville, Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Muskoka Seniors food programs, The Huntsville Legion, Mind-Aid, and via the Coldest Night Of The Year - The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation and Gravenhurst Against Poverty.  During the pandemic, we've supported local restuarants by buying gift certificates for giveaway, put on local music events, supporting local artists.

All of the money, is raised through Super Jackpot Bingo which takes 130 person hours a week to run.  None of the funds is listen based fundraising.

In addition we partner with several organizations and to help them reach their fundraising goals with targetted advertizing campaigns and radiothons.

Hunters Bay Radio is more than a radio station.  It's locally owned and not for profit - run mainly by volunteers - people in your community!  Our mandate is to support our communities.
