Huntsville man recognized by Forests Ontario
Forests Ontario recognized outstanding contributors to forestry and the environment at its Annual Conference in Vaughan, Ontario.
Among the recipients was Rob Keen from Huntsville, who received The Forests Ontario Award for his exceptional achievements in forestry education.
As a Registered Professional Forester, Rob led Forests Ontario for over 20 years, overseeing the planting of over 43 million trees across Canada. After stepping down from Forests Ontario, Rob established the Canadian Tree Nursery Association, supporting 54 nurseries growing over 630 million native seedlings annually.
Throughout his 40-year career, Rob has been involved in various aspects of the forestry industry, including providing forestry services, developing management plans, and participating in forest audits.
